NASM exists to put more Indians into the business of sport — as marketers, operators, analysts, agents, broadcasters and founders. We are India's industry-led sports management institute, built inside the league floors, broadcast trucks and franchise war-rooms our students will go on to run.

Why NASM exists
Nest Academy of Sports Management (NASM) was founded to fill a gap that has held back India's sport business for a decade — formal, university-grade education that mirrors the day-to-day realities of running franchises, leagues, agencies, broadcasters and athlete careers.
NASM is an industry-led collaborator — not itself a college. We design industry-driven curriculum, run master classes and bring league-floor access. Our programmes are delivered in partnership with three established Mumbai host colleges, each operating under its own academic autonomy.
"India will not run out of sport. We will run out of trained sport-business professionals long before. NASM is our answer."
— NASM Founders
The NASM Code
The 8 "I" Principles
Eight principles that shape every NASM cohort, every curriculum revision, every hire and every live capstone.
Innovative
We re-engineer how sport-business is taught — practitioner-built modules, live league briefs and a curriculum that refreshes every cycle.
Interesting
No spectator electives. Every session is built around real franchises, real campaigns and real match-day operations students can touch.
Independent
Industry-led, not vendor-led. NASM is academically neutral — our only loyalty is to student outcomes in the sport economy.
Industry
70+ recruiters across IPL, ISL, PKL, WPL, broadcasters, agencies and sport-tech build, teach and hire from the programme.
Intellectual
Sport law, analytics, athlete IP and rights economics — taught at university grade, not as a weekend bootcamp.
Inspired
Founder-led, athlete-friendly, deeply driven by the conviction that India's sport era needs trained business minds, not just fans.
Ideal
The ideal launchpad — a UoM-affiliated host-college degree paired with on-ground work at India's biggest sport properties.
Individualised
Mentor-led journeys, personal capstone pathways, internships matched to each student's vertical of interest.
How we teach
Training Methodology
Five interlocking layers — so theory, tools and on-ground practice arrive in the same week, not in different semesters.
Regular Lectures
University of Mumbai-grade lectures across marketing, finance, law, analytics and operations — delivered through the host college.
Assignments
Continuous evaluation through real-world assignments, sponsor decks, fan-engagement plans and rights-deal teardowns.
Knowledge Workshops
Hands-on workshops on tools the industry actually uses — CRM, analytics dashboards, OB-van workflows, ticketing engines.
Simulated Sessions
Pitch-room and war-room simulations — sponsorship pitches, auction strategy, crisis-comms drills mirroring real franchise environments.
Master Class & Case Studies
Practitioner-led masterclasses (Jonty Rhodes, Aditi Surana, Amit Relan and more) and live case studies from Indian sport leadership.
In-house properties
Built by students, run by students.
NASM operates four flagship in-house properties — fully owned and run by the cohort. They are not extra-curriculars; they are graded, sponsored, ticketed productions.
YPL — Yuva Premier League
NASM's flagship student-run league. YPL 2025 ran across 150+ colleges with 2,500+ participants at the SAI Ground, Kandivali — students owned marketing, sponsorship, broadcast and operations end-to-end.
JOSH
Annual sport-festival — multi-discipline tournaments stitched to a live broadcast and fan-zone operation, run entirely by NASM cohorts.
Mr. & Ms. Academia
Inter-cohort flagship pageant celebrating student leadership, fitness and stage-craft — produced as a ticketed live event.
Student Idol
Talent platform crossing sport and culture — auditions, league-style format, live finale. A masterclass in IP creation for students.
Three pillars
Academic rigour
Three University of Mumbai-affiliated host campuses — all three Empowered Autonomous — for fast-cycle curriculum updates.
Industry connection
Visiting practitioners every semester. Live capstones, not case studies. Direct briefs from leagues, franchises and agencies.
Outcomes-led
Structured internship support and recruiter introductions baked into the programme journey.
